What an incredible year it has been! As we close out 2025, I want to reflect on all that we have accomplished in advancing real estate industry issues. Our advocacy accomplishments would not have been possible without your support of North Carolina REALTORS® Political Action Committee (NC RPAC). I am so very grateful for you and sincerely thank you for your commitment to NC RPAC!
It is because of your participation that we raised over 1.2 million dollars and exceeded our dollar goal for the first time since 2022. North Carolina has 408 major investors and exceeded our President’s Circle Goal with 54 members! We held a record number of events across the state and had another banner fundraising year, all resulting in further strengthening the REALTOR® voice in North Carolina!
Your participation in NC RPAC allows us to continue building trusted and effective relationships with lawmakers, which is essential to advancing issues of importance to our industry.
This year, we secured several key legislative wins. Senate Bill 690 now includes important improvements such as allowing agent commissions to be included in the offer to purchase and contract, strengthening protections and clarifying requirements for appraiser trainees in the PAREA program, and providing clearer guidance on when landlords may recover attorney fees in summary ejectment cases.
We also successfully championed Senate Bill 55, establishing a faster and more effective process for removing unauthorized occupants from residential property.
Additionally, we advocated for updates in House Bill 926, the Regulatory Reform Act, which advances housing initiatives by making important updates to state and local government regulations.
Your engagement played a vital role in securing these wins, and we are grateful for your continued commitment to protecting and strengthening our profession.
As we close out another extremely successful year, I want to thank each of you for all that you do to support NC RPAC and advance REALTOR® advocacy initiatives. I also want to express my gratitude for your exceptional fundraising efforts in 2025.
